The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (abbreviated to CEFR) is an assessment based on “can do" statements, covering over 30 languages. It has six reference levels ranging from A1 (elementary) to C2 (proficiency), with three ‘plus’ levels (A2+, B1+, B2+).
